Program Overview

The Advanced Certificate program at San José State University provides Registered Nurses with specialized training in Wound Care, Ostomy Care, or Foot and Nail Care. The program combines online instruction, onsite skills practice, and a practicum component, totaling 100 instructional hours. Students must achieve a final score of 80% on the didactic component and a passing credit in practicum to complete each course. Upon completion, nurses are eligible for WOCN-Certification Board exams and may pursue Advanced Practice certification.
