Program Overview


This self-paced program teaches the fundamentals of script supervision, including continuity, responsibilities, and industry practices. Students will learn both paper and digital aspects of the role, using the ScriptE program. The program culminates in a mock shoot and industry insights, preparing graduates for careers as script supervisors in the film and TV industry.

  • The program teaches the basics of script supervision and continuity, including the history and development of the role.
  • Students will learn the many responsibilities of a Script Supervisor, including maintaining continuity, addressing issues, and working with Production and Post Production.
  • The program will cover both the paper and digital aspects of script supervision, including the use of the ScriptE program.

Course schedule:

  • The program is self-paced and requires a total of 48 in-class hours.
  • Classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

  • Transfers Script Supervising skills into a finished digital version using the ScriptE program.
  • Script Supervision: The Wrap and Go
  • Provides a practical hands-on mock shoot and insight into the industry, including union discussion and overview.

Admission Requirements

This Microcredential will attract students with little film experience all the way to crew technicians who already work in the industry.
