Program Overview


This blended and in-person program offers a comprehensive education in computer science and applied computing. Full-time students complete the program in four 15-week terms, while part-time students have up to seven years to complete the program. The program provides a strong academic foundation for graduate studies and prepares students for careers in software engineering, programming analysis, and software design.

  • Courses are blended and in-person options.
  • Full-time: cohort model, 2 intakes: September & January, four 15-week terms, Monday to Friday, 8:30 until 5:30 pm, optional (competitive) Co-op opportunities, provides excellent academic foundation for graduate studies in either computer science or applied computing, offered in-person at the Burnaby Campus.
  • Part-time: 3 intakes: January, April, and September, offered evenings and weekends, up to 7 years to complete the program, blended delivery: on-campus (Downtown and/or Burnaby) and online, provides excellent academic foundation for graduate studies in either computer science or applied computing.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


Domestic Students (BC Residents):

  • Have completed the Computer Systems Technology (CST) Diploma (or equivalent of 60.0 credits of post-secondary education in Computing
  • Are interested in topics such as Client/Server applications, Wireless Data Communication, and Cryptology
  • Enjoy comprehending the significance of security applications in exploit and penetration testing within networks
  • Want to enjoy increased depth of theoretical knowledge and advanced computing skills

International Students:

  • Have completed post-secondary studies outside of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand will require a comprehensive evaluation of their credentials by the International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES).
  • Credential evaluation reports from other Canadian services may be considered. These reports must include course-by-course evaluations and GPA calculations.

Language Proficiency Requirements:
