Degree Overview:
The Superintendent Certification program at Seattle Pacific University prepares individuals to lead in school districts as superintendents, deputy superintendents, associate and assistant superintendents, directors, and similar roles. It emphasizes the knowledge and skills required for district-level administrative assignments in P–12 school settings, following the National Education Leadership Preparation (NELP) standards. The program can be completed alone or in conjunction with the EdD degree through the Executive Leadership specialization option, allowing participants to obtain both the EdD and superintendent certification in three years instead of the typical four to five years.
