Program Overview

The Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) program at Memorial University prepares students for careers in teaching and related fields. Graduates gain a comprehensive understanding of physical education fundamentals, including curriculum planning, teaching methods, and pedagogy. The program offers two options: Teaching Option for physical education teachers and General Option for careers in fitness, outdoor leadership, and more. Graduates are equipped with practical experience through placements in educational settings and are eligible for teacher certification or further education in specialized fields.
