Overview
Refresh your skills and knowledge with Continuing Scenario Based Anaesthetic Resuscitation Training in our high-fidelity simulation suite.
Full Description
This course features:
- practice at managing paediatric critical incidents and resuscitation scenarios specifically drawn from anaesthesia
- review of management strategies as per national and local guidelines
- feedback on practical and human factor aspects
- PLS update to satisfy MEHT and Ramsay Health mandatory training requirements.
The COSBART Philosophy
COSBART was developed at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust by members of the anaesthetic department in response to the need for a low-cost form of life support training relevant to anaesthesia, rather than general medicine. The hope is that the regular and frequent practice of scenarios specifically drawn from anaesthesia with one's colleagues is more useful than a triennial three-day course aimed at crises likely to occur on a medical ward.
Course Directors
- Dr Zoë Ovenden and Dr Joe Hussey, Consultant Anaesthetists at Broomfield Hospital, MSE NHS Trust.
CPD Credits
CPD credits from the Royal College of Anaesthetists are currently being applied for COSBART for Kids.
Refreshments and Lunch
Refreshments and lunch are included in our one-day course.
