Program Overview


Caring for Adults and Older Adults

Overview

The goal of this 36 hour course is to equip current and future caregivers with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care in a community setting. The course will explore the traits of a successful caregiver and will focus on foundational knowledge, including health and wellness, boundaries and caregiving burnout.


Admission Requirements

You may enroll in a Continuing Education course at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.

What You Need

Most college level courses require textbooks; textbooks are not included in the course fees. It is the student’s responsibility to purchase any required textbooks.
