Program Overview


Gas Technician 2 - Practical

Overview

This course, which is a requirement of the full Gas Technician 2 certification, focuses on topics from Modules 10-24 of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority approved curriculum. The course is delivered in-person in our gas lab over two weeks and is an intensive, hands-on training course. Topics include conversion burners, water heaters, combo systems, potable water heating systems, forced air heating systems, space heating and decorative appliances, hydronic heating systems, space heating, decorative appliances, forced air add-on devices, and air handling systems.


Admission Requirements

You may enroll in a Continuing Education course at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
