Program Outline
Assessment:
BTEC students are tested throughout the course using a variety of assessment modes based on real-life scenarios. This practical approach allows BTEC learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to succeed in their chosen pathway to university, apprenticeships, and into their careers. BTECs have grown in popularity in recent years because they allow students to express their understanding practically, as well as theoretically.
Careers:
- At Level 3, BTECs prepare students for university and a career. They can be taken as a standalone full-time program or taken alongside A levels. They qualify for UCAS points towards university applications in the same way as A Levels.
- BTEC provides many different and rewarding career paths and prepares students by focusing on skill building such as independent learning, problem-solving, and communication. These are the skills a BTEC learner is expected to demonstrate and employers seek as well for potential employees.
- For example at DLD they have sent their students to universities from the programs to ULC, Brisol, Westminster, Goldsmiths, and the London School of Economics
