Bachelor in Fire Science Management
Program Overview
Faulkner University strives to be a leader in fire science education, preparing students to find fulfilling careers as fire science professionals. We are proud to offer innovative coursework taught by faculty who draw on their extensive field experience. With a grounding in Christian perspectives and morals, students gain preparation for careers in:
- Fire department administration and executive leadership
- Fire and building code enforcement

- Fire department occupational health and safety
Admission Requirements
Students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Fire Science Management program:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all previous college work, or a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on at least 12 hours taken at Faulkner University
- Be 23 years of age or older
- Complete entrance competencies as listed, including:
- Transfer 66 hours of general education credits
- Complete 54 hours of program content at Faulkner University

Curriculum
Faulkner University’s Bachelor of Fire Science Management (FSM) can be completed fully online. Courses are divided into six eight-week modules that must be completed within three semesters. Students can engage with knowledgeable instructors through online or Zoom formats. The program consists of:

Program Duration
By taking advantage of flexible online classes, students in this program can complete two years of coursework in as little as twelve months. Modules do not need to be completed in numerical order, so students may choose to enter the program at the beginning of any module and complete the rotation from their point of entry. Modules are scheduled to begin in January, March, April, June, August, and October.
