About Program

Program Overview

The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Emergency Medical Science is the result of formal agreements between St. Charles Community College (SCC), Respond Right EMS Academy, and St. Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD). SCC grants 30 credit hours toward the A.A.S. degree for students who submit proof of passing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Exam for paramedics. Students may begin taking the general education courses required for the A.A.S. at SCC at any time.
