About Program
Program Overview
This three-year apprenticeship program combines on-the-job training with classroom instruction, equipping students with the skills to read plans, comply with building regulations, and perform various carpentry tasks. The program includes 34 units of competency, covering core areas such as safety, tools, measurements, and construction techniques, as well as elective units for specialization. Upon completion, graduates are qualified as carpenters and can pursue careers in construction, contracting, or management.

Program Structure:
- Apprentices are employed full-time and attend campus for 7 or 8 block weeks per year (over three years) for a mixture of practical assessment tasks and theory.
- To achieve this qualification, you must demonstrate competency in a total of 34 units of competency: 27 core and 7 electives.
