Program Overview
The Master of Cyber Security program equips students with the skills to develop and implement innovative cyber security solutions. Graduates gain expertise in investigating threats, conducting risk assessments, and developing solutions. The program offers three pathways tailored to students with varying backgrounds, and prepares graduates for careers in cyber security analysis, architecture, management, and more.

This Master of Cyber Security program provides students with the skills and knowledge to generate and implement innovative cyber security solutions for business, government and individuals. Graduates will develop expertise in investigating and identifying current and future cyber security threats, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of networked devices and infrastructure, and developing and implementing innovative cyber security solutions. Courses cover topics such as project and cyber security management, fundamentals of cyber security, cyber security operations centers, offensive cyber security, digital investigations, and responsible and secure artificial intelligence. Students can choose from three pathways: a 1-year pathway for students with a related IT bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience; a 1.5-year pathway for students with a related bachelor's degree; and a 2-year pathway for students with any bachelor's degree.
Careers:
Graduates of the Master of Cyber Security will be equipped for potential career opportunities as a cyber security analyst, cyber security architect, cyber security manager, forensic computer analyst, security consultant, and security and compliance auditor. They can find employment in government and private industries.

- A recognized Bachelor degree (or higher) in a related discipline with a minimum grade point average of 4.0 using a 7.0 scale AND a minimum of three years full-time equivalent relevant work experience.
- A related Bachelor degree (or higher) from a recognized tertiary institution with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale)
- A recognized Bachelor degree (or higher) in any discipline with a minimum grade point average of 4.0 using a 7.0 scale; OR
- A combination of alternative admission criteria such as formal, informal, and non-formal learning deemed to be equivalent to one of the above.
Language Requirements
- A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0
- OR a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL
- OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19)
- OR no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only)
- OR a minimum overall score of 176 (no score less than 169) on C1 Advanced (formerly Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English) or C2 Proficiency (formerly Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English)
- OR an overall score of 58 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 50.
