• The Graduate Certificate in Creative and Professional Writing is a 40-credit-point program offered part-time over one year.
• It is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed for work as a creative writer, social commentator, or narrative journalist and for careers in speech writing, public advocacy, information, and media communication.

• This program will prepare you for work in professions where skills in creative and professional writing are required, such as publishing, professional communication, advertising, public relations, and the media.
• If you're interested in authoring fiction, biography, social history, and/or poetry, this program will help build your confidence in writing and open opportunities to a range of careers, in publishing, journalism, media and PR, education, policy making and information communication.
• You will also be eligible to apply for entry into the Master of Arts.
