Program Overview

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is a 22-month, full-time program that leads to an A.A.S. degree. The program integrates foundational knowledge in the sciences and medical imaging with clinical experiences under the supervision of professional sonographers. Graduates can find entry-level employment as sonographers in hospitals, medical offices, and outpatient clinics. California has a high demand for sonographers, and ultrasound techs in California earn the second highest salary in the country.
