This introductory study of philosophical issues about the nature of the mind and its relation to the body, including materialism, functionalism, behaviorism, determinism and free will, nature of psychological knowledge, is transferable for UC Credit.

- Critically evaluate the philosophical arguments presented by Descartes, Nagel, Searle, and others.
- Articulate your own objections and possible responses to objections.
- Identify the implications of philosophical arguments and positions.
- Construct and defend your own arguments on particular issues in philosophy of mind.
