Program Overview

This program provides an overview of the record producer's role and responsibilities throughout the music production process. Students will develop their listening skills, learn about producing for specific genres, and explore techniques for getting the best performance from artists. The program also covers budgeting, arrangement, vocal production, and the differences between mixing and engineering.

• Key vocal production techniques for main and background vocals
• Difference between producing a mix and engineering a mix

Teaching:

• Instructor: Joe Corcoran
• Students will need access to the DAW of their choice, including free options like GarageBand and Reaper as well as "pro" software like Pro Tools, Logic and Ableton Live.
