Program Overview

Python Programming I is a course that introduces Python and its libraries as a general programming environment. It applies Python to real-world problems, such as website development, database access, text processing, XML editing, GUI development, and system administration. The course covers exploring the Python language and its standard library, practicing object-oriented programming software engineering, using third-party Python libraries to simplify programming, exercising good software engineering practice, writing and debugging Python programs in an integrated development environment, and using Python to access the Internet and databases.
