Program Overview

This course explores the evolution of Western art through 16 major periods, from prehistory to contemporary. Each period is characterized by a distinct artistic characteristic, such as magic in prehistory, mathematics in Greece, rebirth in the Renaissance, and symbols in contemporary art. The course provides an overview of the key artistic movements and styles that have shaped Western civilization.
