This mentorship program pairs students in the Design Communication Arts or User Experience programs with instructors for one-on-one guidance. Students work on projects for portfolios, competitions, or freelance assignments. Mentors are typically DCA or UX instructors, and meetings take place at various design-related locations over six hours per quarter.

Course Description:
This course provides students with the opportunity to work one-on-one with an instructor to develop a meaningful project for a portfolio piece, design competition, freelance assignment, or other advanced goal. Students choose their own mentors, who are usually DCA or UX instructors. Together, the student and instructor arrange to meet at a museum, studio, cafe, or other site of design interest for six hours over the course of the quarter.
