About This Course

Real estate fractionalization through digital tokenization is the emerging blockchain-based ecosystem of permissionless and transparent financial services. This topical seminar is designed to provide both a primer as well as practical knowledge of the decentralized technology known as blockchain. It will illuminate the foundational concepts behind blockchain and demystify crypto for those struggling to understand its usefulness. We will illustrate various use cases for the technology with an emphasis on the application of these concepts with respect to real estate, finance and proptech. It will essentially serve as summary material for an eventual course offering by the same name, which will offer a deeper and more holistic understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the adoption of this technology.
