The Graduate Certificate in Teaching Advanced History and Government is designed for secondary school social studies teachers. It deepens content knowledge and enhances pedagogical skills in history, political science, and education. Students can choose from three curriculum sequences: American History/Government, European History/Comparative Government, or World History/Comparative Government. Graduate Certificate in Teaching Advanced History and Government

  • Allows students to combine studies in History and Political Science and integrate them with relevant pedagogy courses offered by the Education Department
  • Structure:
  • Requires students to successfully complete 15 credits in a combination of history, education, and political science courses
