Program Overview

The DMD/PhD joint program at the University of Manitoba trains dental clinician scientists for leadership roles in dental research and education. Students complete the first year of the DMD program and begin a BSc in Dentistry, followed by PhD research and clinical work. The program aims to develop highly competent scientists who can advance the understanding and treatment of oral and systemic diseases.
