Overview:

  • The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program prepares students for the workforce in the field of sterilizing, packaging, and storing surgical and medical instruments.

Objectives:

  • Upon completion of the program, graduates are able to complete the Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician exam offered by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
  • Students are also eligible to write HSPA CRCST Certification Exam.

  • Graduates of this program have opportunities to work in the medical device reprocessing departments of hospitals and in other health facilities that reuse medical equipment and instruments.
