Program Overview

The Supportive Care Assistant program prepares students for a career in the long-term care sector, addressing labor shortages. It provides work experience and allows students to make a difference in their community. While not equivalent to the health care aide role in Alberta, it can serve as an entryway into the healthcare field. However, further studies and admission requirements are necessary to pursue the Health Care Aide program in Alberta.
