Program Overview

The Dental Hygiene program at this university offers a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (B.S.D.H.) degree. The program prepares students to provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care, work effectively in dental teams, and promote oral health in the community. Students complete a comprehensive curriculum that includes major core courses, IPE seminar requirements, and additional requirements in chemistry, microbiology, and nutrition science. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to take the National Board Exam for Dental Hygiene and clinical board exams for licensure as Registered Dental Hygienists.
