Program Overview

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) minor at East Tennessee State University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of geospatial technologies, digital mapping, and GIS principles. The 20-credit program covers topics such as introduction to geospatial technologies, digital mapping with GIS, geographic information systems, and advanced GIS. Students can complete the minor in two semesters, preparing them for careers in fields that utilize GIS, such as environmental science, urban planning, and transportation.
