Programme Description
The specialization of postgraduate students in theoretical and practical aspects of teaching Greek as a second/foreign language.
The cultivation and development of professional skills for teaching Greek as a second/foreign language.
Career Prospects
Graduates of the postgraduate program will be able to pursue a career worldwide as teachers of Greek as a second/foreign language and designers of language programs in this direction. Those who complete the program successfully will be able to work in public and private institutions around the world (language schools, schools, universities, and research centers) that specialize in teaching Greek as a second/foreign language.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates of the program can be admitted to third-cycle studies (Doctoral Studies).
Admission Requirements
To initiate the evaluation process of your application, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Application Form: All fields must be completed, including field 9 with the details of two recommendations.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Certified Copy of Degree: Undergraduate degree in a relevant field. The relevance of the degree to the subject of the Program will be evaluated accordingly. The degree must include the date of graduation and the final grade of the degree.
- Certified Copy of Analytical Transcript: The Analytical Transcript must be the final one, which was registered after the issuance of the degree and includes the date of graduation and the final grade of the degree.
- Personal Statement and Research Interests (approximately 2 pages): A letter in which you will mention your individual skills and abilities, your expectations from the Program, and the way you expect the acquisition of the degree to help in personal development and career advancement.

Evaluation
The evaluation of the course consists of a final exam and continuous assessment. Continuous assessment may include, among others, weekly interactive activities, studies, positive participation in the course forum discussions, etc.
The grade is calculated based on the weight of the final exam, continuous assessment, and the actual numerical grade received in these two assessments. Based on the grade of the courses, the semester average (GPA) of a student and the overall average (CPA) are calculated.
Graduation
Students are required to complete successfully 90 ECTS and all the requirements of the program.
Learning Outcomes
- Graduates will deepen their understanding of the approach to learning a second language with particular emphasis on teaching Greek.
- They will be trained in teaching Greek based on the three pillars of language learning (teaching, learning, and assessment) with an emphasis on communication skills.
- They will learn how to manage the classroom and design lessons suitable for teaching Greek.
- Graduates will become familiar with highly specialized aspects of language teaching.
- They will be able to apply new technologies in language teaching.
