Once you have completed your application, you will receive instructions on how to submit your portfolio. This program only requires a portfolio demonstrating a beginner level in art, design, or computer graphics with no prior credentials.

Why Study Entertainment Arts @ KPU?

Simple. Because we know what it takes to make it in this industry. At KPU, you’ll learn by doing, hone in-demand industry skills, and gain practical knowledge through engaging hands-on learning opportunities.

Coursework is developed by experienced, industry-connected instructors who'll teach you what you need to know to build your portfolio. Plus, small class sizes ensure you get the attention and support you need to be successful.

Who Studies Entertainment Arts?

Whether you're fresh out of high school or looking to make a career change, the Foundation in Entertainment Arts certificate provides students that don't have a portfolio, or sufficient experience to create one, with the skills and knowledge needed to start their entertainment arts education.

Our program is the only program in BC dedicated to developing visual arts skills with a specific focus on entertainment and digital arts. Graduating from this certificate program helps you to qualify for KPU's advanced entertainment arts diploma programs, although it is not a requirement of the diploma programs and completion does not guarantee entry into a diploma program.

Designed with a short, one-year completion time, this certificate program ensures you complete the curriculum as fast as possible for advanced studies, while providing you an intensive and comprehensive education.
