Program Overview

The MA in History of Art (by Research) at the University of York is a one-year (full-time) or two-year (part-time) program designed for students with a specific research topic in mind. The program focuses solely on writing a thesis under the supervision of a faculty member. Assessment is based solely on the dissertation, and there is no formal teaching in the program.
