Program Overview

The MA Theatre (by research) program at the University of York is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time program that allows students to explore their theatre interests within a research context. Students can choose to produce a dissertation only or a dissertation alongside a creative work, such as a performance or stage play. The program provides students with the opportunity to develop key skills for a future in theatre-making, academia, or both.
