Program Overview

This PGCE School Direct program offers two routes to teacher certification: salaried and tuition-based. Both routes provide training at a school and the University of Sunderland, leading to a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The salaried route includes a salary and covers tuition fees, while the tuition route has no tuition fees. Graduates are qualified to teach in any state-maintained school in England with a starting salary of at least £30,000.
