Entry Requirements
EU Applicants:
- An Honours Degree (NFQ Level 8) with a minimum grade of H2.2 in Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Applied Physics or Computer Science.
- Applicants from other engineering disciplines will be considered on a case-by-case basis, if they can prove that their programme of study has already covered sufficient material in electronics, computer engineering and mathematics.
Non-EU Applicants:
- An Honours Degree equivalent to an Irish Level 8 qualification with a minimum grade equivalent to an H2.2 in Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Applied Physics or Computer Science.
- Applicants from other engineering disciplines will be considered on a case-by-case basis if they can provide evidence that their programme of study covered enough content in electronics, computer engineering, and mathematics.
- International students whose first language is not English will need to demonstrate their English proficiency by achieving the required score in a recognized English language test, such as IELTS or TOEFL.
Language Proficiency Requirements
- For EU applicants who are non-native English speakers, an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
- For non-EU applicants, an IELTS score of 7.0 overall with no band less than 6.5, or equivalent.
