Program Overview

The Mechanical Techniques – Marine Engine Mechanic program at Georgian College prepares students for careers in the recreational marine industry. The program focuses on gasoline and diesel engines, fuel management systems, electrical systems, and other essential marine and watercraft systems. Graduates can work as marine engine mechanics, apprentices, or marina employees. The program includes a field placement component for real-world experience and is recognized by the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) and Mercury Marine.
