Complete Graphic Design (SEG Award – Level 2 Certificate):

  • This 30-week accredited course delves deeper into the world of graphic design, exploring print, publishing, and digital practices.
  • Students develop their skills in typography, layout, illustration, and branding.
  • The course culminates in the creation of a professional portfolio and completion of a live project brief.

Art of Illustration:

  • This 10-week course provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of illustration, focusing on developing participants' personal styles.
  • Students explore various illustration techniques, conceptual thinking, and narrative development.
  • The course culminates in the creation of a finished illustration portfolio.

Image-making for Commercial Practice:

  • This 10-week course prepares participants for the commercial illustration market.
  • Students learn essential skills in client communication, creative problem-solving, and producing high-quality illustrations for commercial purposes.
  • The course culminates in the creation of a portfolio of commercially-focused illustrations.

Visual Communication (SEG Award – Level 1 Certificate):

  • This 20-week course provides an introduction to the principles and practices of visual communication.
  • Students explore various visual communication techniques, including typography, layout, image-making, and storytelling.
  • The course culminates in the creation of a visual communication project showcasing the acquired skills.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • A minimum of 300 UCAS points from A-levels (or equivalent), with at least 112 points from A2 or B subjects (excluding Critical Thinking)
  • Completion of a Level 3 Art or Design qualification, such as a BTEC National Diploma or Foundation Diploma
  • A good portfolio demonstrating your creativity, technical ability, and potential

Additional requirements:

  • 2 references, one from a previous teacher
  • Personal statement
  • Completion of a practical observation assessment (either live or online)
  • Potential interview

International Overseas Students:

  • Completion of an International Baccalaureate Diploma, achieving an overall score of 28-30, including a 5 in Higher Level Art
  • Completion of a European Baccalaureate Diploma with an overall score of 75% in art-related subjects
  • Completion of a US High School Diploma with a GPA of 3.2 or higher, and a strong record in art-related subjects

Additional requirements:

  • 3 references, one from a previous teacher
  • Personal statement
  • Completion of a practical observation assessment (either live or online)
  • Potential interview

Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • English language requirements:
  • IELTS:
  • 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.0 in all bands
  • TOEFL:
  • 95 overall with a minimum 20 in each skill area
  • PTE Academic:
  • 65 overall with a minimum 60 in each communicative competence skill
