  • Level 3 qualification in any subject (3 A-levels, 36 BTEC level 3 credits, an Access course, equivalent) or equivalent qualification.
  • Portfolio of creative work - this should showcase your interests, skills, and creative potential.
  • The course team encourage you to submit a range of different media, including drawings, photographs, digital work, or any other materials you feel relevant.
  • Interview - this will be an opportunity for the course team to get to know you and your work better.
  • They will ask you about your interests in design and strategy, your creative process, and your career aspirations.
  • For applicants with non-standard qualifications such as vocational qualifications and prior experiential learning, equivalence will be assessed on a case by the curriculum team in conjunction with the Admissions department.

Academic requirements:

  • European Union: Equivalent to A-level grades BCC or a Level 3 qualification with a minimum of 112 UCAS points from Art and Design-related subjects.
  • China: Gaokao score of 580 and above.
  • Hong Kong: 3 HKDSE Level 3 subjects with a grade of at least 4 or above, one of which should be a Design subject.
  • India: Completion of the 10+2 system with a score of 80% or equivalent in subjects including English (if applicable in your chosen course), Mathematics and a Design and/or Technology-related subject.
  • Other countries: International Baccalaureate with 3 Higher Levels at grade 5 or above, including at least one subject from Group 6 (The Arts).

To apply for BA (Hons) Communication Design and Strategy and be considered for an offer on the program, you must fulfill one of the following English language proficiency requirements:
