Entry Requirements:


Domestic Students (Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents):


Bachelor's Degree:

  • Completion of a recognized bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated academic excellence in relevant coursework, particularly in kinesiology, biology, health sciences, or related fields.
  • Completion of at least two full-year university-level courses in anatomy, physiology, and statistics.
  • Additional course requirements may vary depending on the student's specialization.
  • Students with a GPA below 3.0 may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on their other qualifications and the strength of their application.
  • Applicants with significant research experience or other relevant qualifications may be considered even if they do not meet all of the academic requirements.

International Students (Non-Canadian Citizens and Non-Permanent Residents):


Bachelor's Degree and Academic Equivalency:

  • Completion of a recognized bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) that is recognized by the World Education Services (WES) evaluation agency.
  • Meeting the minimum academic requirements for domestic students as outlined above.

English Language Proficiency:

  • International students whose first language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by meeting one of the following requirements:
  • A minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test.

  • Students may be required to complete additional English language proficiency testing upon arrival at Nipissing University.
