BUS-010: Nail Salon Operations

This course provides an understanding of operating a nail salon and employer expectations. Topics covered include legal and labor regulations, financing, nail salon design, inventory and equipment management, and personality theories in salon situations. This course focuses on artificial nail services, teaching various types of artificial nail extensions, nail art, maintenance, and repair techniques. This course covers the anatomy of hands and feet, hand and nail care, diseases and disorders, and specialized techniques and treatments for manicures and pedicures.


PRAC-010: Customer Service Practicum 1 & PRAC-011: Customer Service Practicum 2

These courses provide practical experience in nail salon duties. Students practice under instructor supervision, focusing on providing quality customer service and refining their skills to industry standards.


SANT-010: Sanitation, Safety and Hygiene for Nail Technicians

This course focuses on safety aspects relevant to the nail salon environment, personal health, and sanitation. It covers bacteriology, fire safety, health risks, and diseases.
