Program Overview

The Educational Studies Program at the University of La Verne prepares individuals for careers as elementary school teachers (Grades K-6) through a hybrid curriculum that combines subject matter preparation with practical teaching experience. The program emphasizes a collaborative learning environment, high-quality teaching, and a student-centered approach. Graduates are equipped with comprehensive subject matter competence and are prepared for the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET).
