Outline:

  • The French program at Alexander College offers two introductory-level courses:
  • FREN 101: French for Beginners II (3 credits)
  • These courses are intended for students with little or no previous French instruction.
  • They are designed to equip students with basic French language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Students are also exposed to French and Francophone cultures.
  • Prerequisite(s) for FREN 100:
  • Completion of ENGL 088 (formerly EASL 089, ENGL 097)
  • Prerequisite(s) for FREN 101:
  • Completion of ENGL 088 (formerly EASL 089, ENGL 097)
  • Completion of FREN 11 (or equivalent) or FREN 100
  • Completion of both FREN 100 and FREN 101 at Alexander College can be transferred to the University of Victoria as FRAN 100 (3 credits).
