Entry Requirements for domestic students


Higher Education Study:

Applicants who have successfully completed an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution are eligible for admission.


Work and Life Experience:

Individuals who lack formal higher education but possess relevant work and life experience are also eligible to apply, as long as they can demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in the program.


Additional Requirements:

  • All applicants must complete a pre-admission interview.
  • Students must pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (LANTITE) prior to their final Professional Experience Placement.
  • Applicants must obtain a Working with Children Check.
  • Students must complete Anaphylaxis e-Training.
  • All students must undertake the NSW Department of Education Child Protection Awareness Training before enrolling in a work-integrated learning subject and undertaking Professional Experience.
  • Students completing specific subject must obtain a First Aid Certificate.

Entry Requirements for international students


Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • International applicants whose first language is not English or whose previous degree was not taught in English must have an overall IELTS score of 7.5, with no individual band score below 7 and at least 8 in speaking and listening.

Note:

Certain exemptions apply for individuals who have completed at least two years of full-time study at the AQF Diploma level or higher in English.
