Program Overview


M.S. in Quantitative Economics Program

The M.S. in Quantitative Economics program at California Lutheran University is a STEM-designated program that can be completed in as little as one year. The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in economic theory, statistical analysis, and research methods.

Admission Criteria

Admission to the program is based on a review of the following materials:


  • A completed application and non-refundable application fee
  • Demonstrated quantitative ability (Calculus, Statistics, and Econometrics)
  • Resume
  • Official transcript(s) from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Two academic or professional recommendations
  • Personal statement
  • Graduate program advisement with an admission counselor

Tuition and Fees

4+1 MSQE Option

The 4+1 MSQE option allows undergraduate business majors at Cal Lutheran to earn their M.S. in Quantitative Economics in only one year by taking courses during their senior year.
