CompTIA A+ Essentials 220-1001 exam:
Covers basic computer hardware, operating systems, security, safety, environmental issues, communication & professionalism skills. The course focuses on installing, upgrading, configuring, repairing, configuring PCs in the workplace.
Other:
- The course will run one day per week (Saturday) from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm over 10 weeks.
- This course focuses on developing professional skills and does not sit on the national framework.
- Entry-level Service Technicians or those wishing to gain A+ Certification can benefit from this program.

- Old Leaving Cert (Pre 2017): 5 Ordinary Level D3s (subjects to include Maths and a language, English, Irish or another language) or equivalent exam taken.
- New Leaving Cert: 5 O6/H7 grades, to include Maths and a language (English, Irish or another language).
- Applicants over 23 years of age (Mature students): Over 23 years from the 1st January of this year, can apply directly using the College’s online application form.
