Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:

  • Mature Students (23 years or older):
  • Apply directly to Griffith College Professional Academy using the online application form.
  • A member of the admissions team will contact you to discuss your entry requirements.
  • Under 23 years old:
  • *Leaving Certificate (Pre-2017):**
  • Two Honours Level, Grade C3s or above and four Ordinary Level D3s (subjects to include Maths and a language, English, Irish or another language) or equivalent exam taken.

New Leaving Certificate:

  • 2 H5 and 4 O6/H7 grades, to include Maths and a language (English, Irish or another language).
  • English Language:
  • Completion of a recognized English language test with a minimum score:
  • IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall (with no less than 5.5 in each component)
  • TOEFL iBT: 80 overall (with no less than 20 in each component)
  • PTE Academic: 58 overall (with no less than 50 in each component)
  • Previous studies in English (e.g., undergraduate degree taught in English)
  • Griffith College also accepts the online Duolingo English Test (DET) as proof of English proficiency.
