Program Overview

Lewis University's Reading Specialist M.A. program prepares students to effectively teach reading and lead literacy initiatives. Through coursework, practicum experiences, and a culminating project, graduates gain expertise in assessment, intervention, diverse learners, and organizational systems. The program is recognized by the International Reading Association and qualifies graduates for careers as Reading Specialists, Literacy Coaches, and Reading Teachers in various educational settings.
