Applicants who have successfully completed a BTEC National Diploma or Diploma, attaining a Distinction and Merit in any BTEC National Diploma/Diploma and a B in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education A Level, or a Distinction in Applied Human Biology, Applied Science, Health and Social Care, Sport, or Sport and Exercise Science BTEC National Diploma/Diploma and an A in any A Level, are eligible to apply. A minimum of 4/C in GCSE Maths or its equivalent and an English language qualification are also required (details below).
BTEC National Extended Certificate/Subsidiary Diploma:
Applicants who have successfully completed a BTEC National Extended Certificate/Subsidiary Diploma, achieving a Distinction in any BTEC National Extended Certificate/Subsidiary Diploma and BB in two A Levels, including B in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education, or a Distinction in Applied Human Biology, Applied Science, Health and Social Care, Sport, or Sport and Exercise Science BTEC National Extended Certificate/Subsidiary Diploma and BB in two A Levels, are eligible to apply. T Level:
Applicants who have successfully completed a T Level qualification in Health, Healthcare Science, or Science, attaining a Distinction grade, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 4/C in GCSE Maths or its equivalent and an English language qualification are required (details below).
International Baccalaureate Diploma:
Applicants with a minimum score of 655 in three Higher Levels, including 5 in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education, or 32 points with a minimum of 5 in Higher Level Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education, are eligible to apply. For the contextual offer, applicants must attain a minimum of 555 in three Higher Levels, including 5 in Biology, Chemistry, Physical Education, or Sport Science, or 31 points with a minimum of 5 in Higher Level Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education.
Access to HE Diploma:
Applicants who have successfully completed an Access to HE Diploma, achieving a minimum of 128 UCAS points in at least 30 Level 3 credits with a distinction and at least 15 Level 3 credits with a merit, are eligible to apply. These credits must include topics relating to Human Biology/Anatomy/Physiology/Chemistry. Additionally, a minimum of 4/C in GCSE Maths or its equivalent and an English language qualification are required (details below).
Welsh Baccalaureate/Bagloriaeth Cymru:
The Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate is equivalent to one full A Level at the same grade and can be considered alongside two other A Levels in an A Level offer for this course. All subject-specific requirements must still be met.
Scotland - Highers and Advanced Highers:
Applicants achieving grades of BBCBC in five Highers in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education Higher, or CC in two Advanced Highers and BC in two Highers, including Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education Higher or Advanced Higher, or BCC in three Advanced Highers, including Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education Advanced Higher, are eligible to apply.
Ireland - Leaving Certificate:
Applicants achieving grades of H3, H3, H3, H4, H4, H4 in the Irish Leaving Certificate, including H4 in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Chemistry (combined), or Physical Education, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of O4/H6 in Maths, 4/C in GCSE Maths, or its equivalent, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
China - Gaokao:
Applicants achieving a minimum of 75% in the Gaokao, including 70% in Biology or Chemistry, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 60% in Senior Secondary School or Gaokao Maths and an English language qualification are required (details below).
India - Standard XII:
Applicants achieving an average of 75% in four subjects, including 70% in Chemistry or Biology in ICSE, CBSE, or Western Bengal Standard XII, or an average of 80% in four subjects, including 75% in Chemistry or Biology in any other Standard XII, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 6 or C2 in Secondary School Examination Maths, a pass in Standard XII Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
Germany - Abitur:

Applicants achieving a minimum of 14 in the French Baccalaureate/International Option Baccalaureate, including 14 in Biology, Chemistry/Physics, or Physical Education, or 13 in the Baccalauréat Français International including 13 in Biology, Chemistry/Physics, or Physical Education, are eligible to apply. Applicants achieving an overall average of 7.8 in the Título de Bachillerato, including 8 in Biology or Chemistry, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 5 in Graduado en Educación Secundaria (GES) Maths or 6 in Título de Bachiller Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).

Cyprus - Apolytirion:
Applicants achieving a minimum of 18.5/88% in the Apolytirion, including 18 in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 14 in Maths in the Apolytirion, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
Portugal:

Canada - Diploma:
Applicants achieving a minimum of 70% / BBBBC in five courses in the Grade 12 Diploma, including 70% in Biology, Chemistry, or Recreation and Healthy Active Living Leadership, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 50% in Grade 11 Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below). We may accept a two-year Diploma. We may accept an Ordinary National Diploma with a GPA of 2.5 or a Merit/Lower Credit.
USA - Advanced Placement:
Applicants achieving a minimum of 544 from three Advanced Placement subjects, including 4 in Biology or Chemistry, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of C in Grade 12 High School Diploma Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
Sri Lanka - Advanced Level:
Applicants achieving grades of ABB in three Advanced Levels, including B in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of C in O-Level Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
Malaysia - STPM:
Applicants achieving grades of ABB in three Principal Level subjects in the STPM, including B in Biology, Chemistry, or Sports Science, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of C in SPM Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
Singapore - A Levels (H2):
Applicants achieving grades of ABB in three H2 Levels, including B in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of C in O-Level Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
European Baccalaureate:
Applicants achieving a minimum of 75% overall with 7 in Biology (4 period), Chemistry, or Physical Education are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 6 in European Baccalaureate Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
NCUK:
Applicants achieving a pass in NCUK Foundation year with grades of ABB, including B in Chemistry, Biology, or Physical Education, and a Grade A in the EAP English Language module, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 4/C in GCSE Maths or its equivalent, is required.
Uganda - Advanced Certificate of Education:
Applicants achieving grades of ABB in three Principal Level subjects in the Advanced Certificate of Education, including B in Biology or Chemistry, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 6 in UACE or UCE Maths, and an English language qualification are required (details below).
Zimbabwe - A Level GCE:
Applicants achieving grades of ABB in three A Level subjects, including B in Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Education, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a minimum of 4/C in GCSE Maths or its equivalent, and an English language qualification are required (details below). For students with international qualifications who are unable to meet the direct entry requirements, Keele offers International Foundation Year programmes. Upon successful completion, students can progress to an undergraduate degree at Keele.
Health checks and DBS Clearance:
Offers are subject to Occupational Health clearances and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance. The University follows the DBS Code of Practice in these issues and can provide a copy of the code on request.
