Interior Design for Professionals

is a short course designed for professionals in the interior design field. It aims to:

• Provide an overview of the new trends in Italian design from the latest furniture shows in Milan.
• Explore the evolution taking place in interior spaces through
• Guided visits to representative showrooms of Made in Italy brands.
• Participation in seminars held by industry professionals.
• Guide students in the creation of a trend book classifying new products available on the market.

Outline:

Week 1:

• Introduction to recent design production with a focus on leading Italian companies.
• Discover the latest iconic Italian products, mainly those presented during the Design Week in Milan.
• Visit representative showrooms of Made in Italy companies.
• Overview of changes in the panorama of interiors and design, and of international trends through seminars by professionals.
• Analysis of the evolution of scenarios in the interior to understand and prepare a professional Trend book.

Week 2:

• In-depth analysis of contemporary trends and the history of Italian design.
• Acquire new approaches to sustainability, innovation in technologies and digital solutions, and evolution in the communication panorama.
• Talks with historic design companies to understand the balance between Heritage and Future vision and interact with professionals.
