Program Overview

Genesee Community College's Child Care Certificate Program prepares students to become caregivers for young children. The two-semester program focuses on child development, common childhood illnesses, safety hazards, and special needs. Graduates gain hands-on experience in child care agencies and are eligible for the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
