Program Overview
The Event Planning Micro-Credential program provides comprehensive training in event management, meeting and convention planning, and customer service. Through in-person, online, and HyFlex learning formats, students gain the skills necessary to start or advance their careers in event planning. The program's focus on real-world applications allows students to contribute to their workplaces while earning credits towards an Associate in Applied Science degree.

- The program comprises three courses:
- Principles of Event Management (THM118)
- Meeting & Convention Planning (THM201)
- Customer Service Management (BUS108)
- Principles of Event Management: Covers all aspects of event management, including feasibility studies, operational planning, and customer service. Students learn to evaluate marketing strategies and minimize risk while maximizing audience satisfaction.
- Meeting & Convention Planning: Focuses on developing marketing plans for specific properties.
- Customer Service Management: Explores best practices in customer service. Students learn proven techniques for differentiating their business from the competition and developing new products and services. They also gain strong customer service skills and learn to leverage technology to anticipate and manage customer needs, ultimately improving revenue and customer retention.
