- Completion of an Australian Year 12 equivalent qualification with relevant subjects and satisfactory grades or scores.
- English language proficiency demonstrated through one of the following:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic with an overall score of 6.5, with no band score lower than 6.0.
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with an overall score of 58, with no score below 50.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT with an overall score of 87, with no score below 22 in reading and writing, and no score below 18 in speaking and listening.
- Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) with an overall score of 176, with no score below 169 in individual components.
- Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) with an overall score of 180, with no score below 169 in individual components.
- La Trobe's online English for Tertiary Success pathway program with the required level of completion.
